"Checking for changes" showing up about every 2 minutes. Lasts for about 20 seconds, too annoying!

    I upgraded my project to Unity Alpha

    Now I get this "Checking for changes" notice every 2 minutes and it lasts for 20 seconds,
    this happens while I'm drawing on a Tile Map, but I'm not even saving the project.

    How can I turn this off?

    Maybe give this a try. I had to deal with constant crashes coming from Collab and this fixed it.
    Open your VersionControlSettings.asset file in ProjectSettings and set inProgressEnabled to 0.
