    Hi,

My character, which is behind a canvas, shines through the canvas. It happens in the scene window and in play mode. Only his silhouette can be seen.

I converted this project over from Unity 2017 to Unity 2018. I didn't have the problem in the 2017 version.

Anyone got an idea what is wrong?

The screenshot seems to have been removed.

Wooah! Now that is a strange problem.

    Okay.
Does the characters head or body, (during idle animation, or other etc.)
somehow turn, then touch, the ranking scoreboards?
If so, then that could explain, why it seems to bleed through the ranking board.

If that is the case, push the ranking scoreboard, forward, away from the character
    but closer to the camera.

The problem still remains. As you can see in the following image the character isn't touching the scoreboard.

seems like the text is using different shader than the images... but since you said that it worked on previous shader it maybe something else...
maybe you could try to apply material using "GUI/Text Shader" shader to the text

Use the frame debugger to determine more specifically how the frame is being rendered incorrectly. If that doesn't give you enough information, download RenderDoc (unity is already integrated with it).
