Character not working in middle east environment demo

I am using Basic Locomotion Lite pack for my game. And I was just checking out the demo scene of middle east environment. But my character won't work. It just moves backward in a very awkward position. I tried turning off the winds but it still didn't work. Very urgent. Please help.
