    Heya that is a tricky one since It really depends on your own game and on how you want to do it.
    I can say that I can try to propose something. I will also add an NPC script that will let you create your own NPC in a simple way.
    Oh wait, but not in this update. it will come in a final update propably :)

    It will come with the expansion. So it will be a seperate package with a different price. And since now the latest version is pending a review I'll focus on the expansion. It can take me 2 to 3 months.

    Heya ! I'm proud to present a new update thats out on the asset store starting from today !

    Update 8 (v5.80) RELEASED:
    5.54 - new mesh of skeleton with new texture and normal map
    5.65 - fixed female normal map and fixed 10x female face textures
    5.68 - fem anims idle, look around and walk
    5.77 - fixed animations: look around, spell1,spell 2,spell3, roll, attack2, attack4, attack5, attack6,
    5.78 - New Throwing animation !
    5.79 - fixed rotation of legs in some animations
    5.80 - 1 fix to leather_1 with specular on the shirt fix

    Awesome Update As Always.

    One Request Tough: Please make the package Mecanim, i can't get characters get to work with mecanim i tried everything and they are still acting strange with mecanim animations. ( placement changes, jitters etc. )

    ! Animations work with Legacy, Generic and Humanoids (with root bone).
    So my question is are you talking about generic or humanoid ?

    1. did you checked the scale ?
    2. which avatar are you using ?
    3. check the root bone if needed (placement)

    And please be more specific on the problem or jitters :)

    I am talking about Humanoid rig with this animations: http://mr-necturus.com/store/index....ath=62&product_id=325&sort=p.price&order=DESC

    1.) I am using your demo scene do i need scaling on that?
    2.) I am using the avatar generated for the CharacterPrefs within unity.
    3-) Root Bone placement is set to "spine" is it wrong?

    I think the problem is when i put 2 characters side by side i can see their scale is 1 but their size is not proportional, yours is bigger :D ( sorry, couldn't resist )

    But unity cube telling me something wrong with your character? is my scaling off?

    Gameplay is awasome !
    Though some package must have destroy your light in the scene.
    Or it might a post process that did that.
    Models and textures would look much better if you tweek it somehow :)

    Heya ! I'm using standard unity shaders. it is not pbr and I'm not using root motion - but I guess you can set it up yourself in unity. There are some extra options to do that I guess.

    Hopefully after tons of other work and next week of summer holidays I'll be able to return to the expansion for this package with heavy armors and weapons sets.

    On the expansion I needed to stop for some time but I'm starting again to work on it !
    I need to replan and re-organize the new packages but I have mesh-concepts, rigged, that I need to re-do to have something on a higher level :)

    Looks like this pack has everything I will need for a main character to get my game to Alpha.
    I wish there was some sort of lite/trial version - but I'll start saving up:)
    Without having seen the scripts I don't think it will be hard to create a compact "recipe" system to save a character setup.

    I'm looking at this asset and would like to know more about how you actually use it. It sounds like you currently cannot save your creations as prefabs. If that is so, how do you use them?

    What is the workflow? I don't see any documentation at all to explain how to use the asset. I think that is a turnoff to lots of people given the price. The demos look fantastic, but it hard to put down 100+ dollars without any description of how the asset actually gets used, etc.

    Well we need a modification to make the

    Head appear in the small windows at the character creations and head saving.

    You suppose to see the head moving during combat and blood splash so…

    Pack looks good, but have seen several mentions of the character scaling being way to big, and issues with animations when trying to scale them down.
    • Are they still scaled way too big?
    • If so, has anyone tried changing the import scale on the fbx to get it normal size?
    • Do animations still work well with it once its re-imported at a more accurate scale?
    • Are there issues with the clothing/armor pieces once its scaled to normal size?
    I'll second the motion for a sample character. While I have no doubt that if the characters work good, the pack is worth the price, at $135 it would be really nice if there were a sample character that we could test out for scale and with other animation packs to help decide on the purchase. (several issues regarding, character scale, scale messing with animations, female proportions messing with animations etc have been reported for this pack...) that makes me wary at the price point, but if I could test say... the base female model (since it was specifically mentioned having proportion issues that effected animations) : no gear, props, textures etc needed) to see how they work with my standard animation library at the proper unity scale for a character, it could very well prompt an immediate purchase if things went well (or an immediate passing over until the package was fixed if they did not)

    In any sense, if anyone has answers to the above questions they would be appreciated.

    PS: It's payday and I'm character shopping... Author, if you're confident your pack will stand up against some testing... I'm buying today when/if I find characters that I am convinced are the right ones. Just sayin... :rolleyes:

    Heya ! as it goes to scaling or things like that many devs that bought the package didnt had a problem when using this or other animations under ubrin avatar or any other. Sometimes its about setting up animations/avatars/scale in the Unity. I'd try to help out if I can and whenever I can. Also its about time to start work again on the expansion pack with the heavy armors ! :)

    thank you for posting videos or screens with how you use the Ubrin package :)

    As a customer of this package, here are my tips:
    1
    about the scale
    set the scale factor = 0.23 will make the characters, armors, hairs....looks real.
    2
    about the open mouth issue I said before
    click the character fbx file, open avatar config window, click head, change the jaw to none.
    that will fix the issue.
    3
    look forward to the new armors pack.

    Sorry for the delay but I've started to work on soo many project and will finish few soon.
    That means I'll be back to release an expansion with 1 extra armor set and NPC script.
    It is possible that I'll fix many things like body or hairstyles as next in Ubrin itself.
    Additionaly I have 3 heavy armor sets in 3d sketches, and also 1 kings armor and 1 leather-plate armor in concepts.
    Soon I should show you what is coming next.

    during the developing of my indie game, here are what i think about your characters:
    1
    there is no arrow, only the bow.
    suggest add an arrow in your next release.
    2
    when your character hold a 2hand weapon like axe, his right hand hold the upper part of the axe.
    suggest change the right hand position that he hold the axe lower, for more realistic looking.
    3
    hope to see some fur armor for my savage/barbarian characters.
    also have an idea: make a chest armor looks like the body, and paint tattoos on the skin.or a more muscle body mesh as armor for the most strong barbarian like connan.
    4
    when i make 2 armys [blue team,red team,each have 4 soldiers] fight each other, i found i can not Identify/recognize which soldier is belongs to which team from their outfits.
    suggest add some colored part of armors to choose, no need new meshes, just paint some part of armors with simple color. such as a red chest armor can means red team, blue chest armor can means blue team.
    you may like to take a look at the soldiers in witcher3, such as nilfgaard soldiers wear black armors, temerian soldiers wear blue armors, oxenfurt soldiers wear red armors. so, you know what i mean. do it.

    Hey, I've looked at a few different character systems (such as MCS and Mr. Necturus's Shop), but this one seems to be the best for what I need (low poly - though I could use lower LODs from the other packs but that is overkill).

    I see that on the 2nd June you promised many new armors and weapons but took 6 months off.
    Fair enough to take time off, but my question is how easy is it to make new armors and clothing that will fit the existing system?

    Also is it possible to change character size? eg. fat belly or add muscle?

    What are the poly counts on the characters and how many bones?
    (and does the female character have extra bones for breasts?)
    Usually bone/poly count is mentioned in character descriptions in the asset store but it is missing in yours so perhaps you could add that sometime..

    Could we use other mecanim animations such as those made by Mr. Necturus (as he already has a pack of over 700 though half are female), or RPG Character Mecanim Animation Pack (450 animations)?

    1. thats a good idea ! I'm also planning to make the bow on a skinned mesh renderer so that the tip can be animated :)
    2. yes - 2h animations should come in some time :)
    3. I have no plans for different bodies or tattoos. But yest to fur.
    4. thats good ide - depending on the purpouse of your game. I was thinking about making some parts to be colored - so I'll think about it :)

    Heya - yes I took some time off, due to job changes and many new projects on the way to make :)
    I have drafts or sketches of the new armors, but I was not able to continue working on them for now. I will definitly be back to work on them and I will release them :)
    It is really time consuming, but I've learned alot and the quality will be better.
    Within this package it is impossible to make fat belly or make a different bodyy parts size. you can size up r down entire model if you prefere, but for such changes the model would need to be dedicated.
    PolyCount - about 4k tris as I remeber. Bones are standard for mecanim use and female doesnt have a breast bones.
    Any animations after some implementation should work with these characters :)

    Do you have a release window for the New armors?! Cause after such a long period without updates it would be nice to know This package is still alive.
    Do you plan on releasing robe as Well for Mage classes?
    How easy is for us to create armors for this asset?
    Do you do custom armor Works for your asset?

    Heya ! yes the package is still alive although it is too early to show anything. Im working on this package again before I hit new expansion. (for now I dont have details, I'm experimenting.) If I have something to show I will :)
    I'm not doing custom works for the assets since it is expensive, and once people hear about the price they dont want it anymore. The price is high simply because it is soo time consuming and requires alot of effort.
    My time is also harder to controll, but I'm doing everything I can to make this package better.

    There is one thing on the way - once I want to change something to the base of the package I need to change pretty much everything on the way.
    I'll see what I can do about not redoing everything - but I'm currently working on the new bodies for male and female - more realistic and with better/proper shapes.

    After having this properly done, I'll post it here :)

    (I have the 3rd person mele controller but I havent tested yet the Ubrin package on it. I guess I will now :) - but this should be easy :))

    Would be nice to have a sample character. We are thinking about buying Ubrin but at such a high price we would like to test a sample character first. The biggest concern is the performance impact of having multiple skinnedmeshrenderers active per character and to make sure they work fine with our scale and mecanim animations.

    I am using RPGAIO https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/53542 and would like to know how to get Ubrin characters into Unity. I am NOT asking how to get the character customization into my Unity game, but after I've created the characters, how do I get them into my Unity game.

    How do I go from making the character in your customization screen or setup

    TO
    my Unity game, like this screen (except he has whatever armor I put on him)

    I tried to rephrase my question two ways so hopefully you can understand what I'm asking.

    Heya ! Long time no see, but I'm here :)

    Currently having break after break from Ubrin or any hobby I had :p
    well... I was learning more and wanted to learn more.
    For now Ubrin will stay as it is due to my falling in love in invector and DarkSouls 3 and Bloodborne.

    I'm working on a new package that for now will be seperate from Ubrin but maybe in the future Ubrin will inherit alot from what I'm currently working on.

    What I'm planning is a small package for start that will be made strictly for invenctor, and wil have armor of a warrior or knight or a king with some customization.

    I cannot reveal more since I dont know myself yet what will become of it.

    Anyhow, I'll propably create a new thread of the new package when I'll have more to show.

    It will be just in a different way.

    I started to fix few things in Ubrin but it appeared I wanted to change all starting from the very own base. So Untill I'll create few base packages of their own Ubrin will stay as it is, but than...
    These entirely new base packages should recreate Ubrin again. I've got no idea of the timing yet, but I'm working on it again as hard as possible. This method is from the other way around :) Should be better than fixing Ubrin here and there.

    I'm not sure what will change. Is it the armor pieces like I'll merge belts into chests or things like that, or maybe I wont.

    For now I'm aming for even more than Ubrin is. It will suport invector package with all the animations, models and structure.

    First package should ship with male only (no female) but maybe with undead race + at least 1 armor set or few combinations of a character so that you could threat the package as a standalone hero for your invector game :)

    Later I'll add more and more :)

    To sum it up - Ubrin isnt dead at all, on the contrary its will be more than alive :)

    Can we make customized models?
    And can it be saved on DB like DNA in Uma?

    I allready bought it last year. It looks good, just need some scripts work. it's not that kind of pack whick may simply chose and active/deactive body parts to get a full character one, but it's a nice pack indead.

    Hey all, I just wanted to ask some questions here and clarify a few things.

    1. Can you save the characters you create to prefabs? I need to use prefabs in my game for the models.
    2. I went through the old videos and saw some different animations for stances, are those animations still in?
    3. I understand your busy but do you still plan to update this pack in the future, IE with more heavy armors?

    Heya ! Sorry for not responding that often as I should. It is due to many things but I'm happy how the community works and I read every single note thats here. Special thans to witchscroll :)
    How is Ubrin anyhow ? :)
    Ubrin is here for 5 years now and it had huge amount of changes. Why ? becaouse I got better and better at what I do and I will working on Ubrin again :)
    Changes I want to make might be shocking :p or problematic to systems you already have using Ubrin.
    More notes will come on the way but I hope that you will write your opinions.

    1. Most important is reducing the armor parts. 2 major changes here: pants and boots will be combined. chest and belt will be combined. There will be no vests but only a full character chest armor.
    What do you think ? will it affect your system that much or will be easier to controll ?

    2. Second thing is the more textures, due to better quality of the armor sets, which means there will be much more differences in armor, each set will have a seperate texture but there will be less armor parts in general.

    3. removing the undead from the package, or just making it much less important. What do you think ?

    Most important planned features:
    1. remaking bodies to a more realistic characters
    2. remaking all armors to more realistic.
    3. Substance painter 2 will come in works here for all textures
    4. different animations - supporting in-vector system !
    5. scripts and UI changes with maybe more proper saving option, into a prefab or a database.
    6. NPC script ! yeah its comming !
    7. much, much more :D hair on transparrency etc.

    I dont know when will it come. I still have some different work to do, but when I'll finish Ubrin and its expansions is first on the list ! :) I will keep you posted more in the future with at least weekly updates after I'm back to Ubrin ! :)

    Sound like from tes3 morrowind to tes4 oblivon. Ok.

    +1 for colored some parts of armor. red armor for red team, blue armor for blue team, yellow armor for yellow team.

    No. I suggest improve it for a better look. it's usefull for making monsters.

    +1, suggest rise the polygons number 50% to kill 'zzzz...' .

    Does't care about that. I prefer to use my own melee combat system which is much better than in-vector system.

    +1, I still use the script you gave me last year. for now i do not need a new one, but i think it's a must have for others because i can not use playmaker done the same thing that the npcscript done.
