I imported my character from blender after animating and all the animations work fine, but the upper arms are completely off. The animations play fine in the preview apart from that.

I also get the error when setting the animation type to humanoid that I don't have enough bones, and on the animation tab I get the import message error "Imported file 'sparc-animated clips' conversion failed: Required human bone 'LeftFoot' not found " when I have got the bone, even after I renamed it from Foot.L to LeftFoot.

Very confused, any help anyone can give me would be brilliant, thanks!

Just to let anyone know who has a problem with this, I was able to fix it by just importing the .blend file instead of the fbx. I must have set the export up wrong and didn't trust unity to do it for me, egg on my face, all sorted!
