    Hello,
    I accidentally named my build the wrong thing. After searching the internet and looking through Unity's various menus, I can't seem to figure out how to change it. The project name, as in what I see on top of the Unity editor, has the name that I want. The build (.exe file and _Data folder), on the other hand, does not. I have tried just going into the file explorer and changing the name there but whenever I rebuild my game it just reverts back to its old, unwanted name. How do I change my build's name?

    Thanks!

    You need to change the Product Name. You can find it under File -> Build Settings -> Player Settings.

    I've tried that already but the "Product Name" field is what I'd like it to be but the build doesn't seem to reflect this.

    Thanks for the response though.

    You might need to show a screenshot of where you are trying to see the change.

    In the Windows File Explorer.
    Unity File Name Change.png

    I highlighted the two files that shouldn't be named what they are.

    x= your game name
    For anyone who's looking for solution , just change the "my project" exe file name to "x" and "my project_Data" folder name to "x_Data" and it works
    hope i helped somehow :)
