Change Rigidbody2d plane

    Hello, I'm making a 2d racing game. I meant to use the 2d components (Rigidbody2d, Colliders2d, etc) to make rotations easier to program.

    However, the Rigidbody2d documentation says that "objects can only move in the XY plane". That doesn't make much sense, as I would have to rotate the full coordinates system, change the skyboxes and gravity, etc.

    Is there any way to change the Rigidbody2d plane? Any other suggestions to avoid using the 3d components? Thanks!

    You can't change the 2D plane. There's no issue with making a racing game use the XY plane; just treat Y as forward.

    long requested. its easier to just make your game 3d and use an orthographic camera and lock rotation on axis' you dont use
