Bug (Case 1294866) ProBuilder causes "Warning: Annotation not found!"

    Having the ProBuilder package installed causes Unity to output "Warning: Annotation not found!" every time a script is recompiled.

    OK, this issue is EXTREMELY annoying. Is there a workaround to get rid of it?

    Thanks for the bug report, I triaged it this morning. Once a fix is available you will be able to pull the branch yourself if it's urgent, otherwise we'll publish a patch later this week or early next.

    Hi, I just checked but can't find an update. ProBuilder 4.4.0 seems to be the latest update for Unity 2018.4 and still suffers from this warning.

    So I would like to ask what exactly means "soon" :)

    Hi Peter, sorry for the late reply, it looks like the fix was done but no probuilder 4.x version was release with it. We are currently in the process of releasing 4.5 which I've validated has the fix. It should be released next week when we get approval from release management. If you can't wait for the release, here's the fix PR (Link) or you can use our 4.5 branch (Link) in the meantime.

    Hey thanks for the response, I was able to update the script and get rid of the message. Is that warning a notice of a problem or is everything working fine despite it?

    I can confirm the warning no longer appears with ProBuilder 4.5.0. Thank you!
