Car Setup for PlayMaker [ Mobile - AI ]

Is it ok to remove the old asset pack for Unity 4 from Asset Store this August?

    Im sorry for being such a bother! But i was just working on some stuff, i closed unity and came back later and got this error with playmaker, any idea what is and what i can do?

    Does it go away when you click Clear? If not can you paste the full error log?

    No it doesnt go away but i actually restarted the whole thing and created a new file and i think everythings ok now, everything seems to work again but it was strange how it happend

    Looks like some kind of Playmaker Editor error, could happen to Ecosystem or while moving/docking Playmaker editor window maybe.

    Remember to make backups frequently!

    Oh ok ok and yes for sure i backup every second!
    I ran into a very small error that involves the IL2CPP again!
    I did what you told me to do to include the UNITY_IPHONE in the createObjects.cs folder and everything.
    When i include the car selector in my scene, i click on any car and it starts up but the FPS is at 5! While this is running it says that it doesn't include the IL2CPP!
    However
    When i run the same scene but get rid of the car selector menu and just import the car itself, it runs perfect!

    My quality settings would be set to the lowest possible and everything under build would be default except for "Optimize mesh" and of course changing the thing from Mono to IL2CPP and changing the architecture to Arm64.

    Have any idea why this happens?

    Oh wait, i figured it out! i just changed the architecture from Arm64 to universal and its works, only the shadows on the pavement goes crazy but on sand its fine, now thats another problem !

    Also one last thing is that, in the game when i switch it over to the cameras that you can move by swiping over, theres an issue with it when it comes to driving, because when you hold the steering wheel and turn the camera turns and at the same time you have to click the gas or break and when you do, it collides with the finger you use to steer.

    For mobile you can turn off the Mouse Look action on Camera Controller so it won’t move on input touch.

    Ok i emailed you my invoice number thank you in advance, i have just a small question.

    I find the car tends to flip very easily and lose control very easily after a jump, is there anyway to make control better and not flip so easily? Is that just a matter of the cars size and mass?

    Yes you can adjust that in Wheel Collider component Slip or stiffness values.

    I tried, but unfortunately Asset Store do not support upgrading to lower priced assets.

    Really too bad, it could be a good idea for Asset Store to promote selling upgrade/discount of the same developer : in particular when the assets work together.

    Hello, recently purchased this asset and I can already tell it's what I'm looking for.

    Having a few kinks starting off though; I've done your Prepare New Car for Car Setup tutorial, but I can't yet control my car. Am I missing something in the process? My car is simple (just a frame and wheels), so a lot of the empties aren't used. When I hit play I can tell something is engaging (the car sort of sits into itself, so I assume the colliders are working).

    Seems that there are no Controls (input manager) and CarController.
    please check the attached screenshots for new scene setup and compare what is missing:

    Hello,

    I have noticed that this new asset have a great success (Mjnicar Race Creator)
    But it seems that as I know, with Car Setup, users can create the same things with some xtras stuff like Skid marks, Oil Spill, etc ...

    Perhaps the IA part is more effective
    "Enemy car Ai : path system , avoids obstacles, choose itinerary, find his way after a collision, behavioral variation.
    Respawn, Lap counter, Custom countdown, Follow Camera, Mobile Input, Test mode system."


    Do you plan something for Car Setup ?

    Hello, Car Setup have basic AI:
    - follow manually placed waypoints
    - avoids obstacles
    - try to find way out when stuck

    No plans to update AI for now.

    I spent yesterday playing with this and Modular Traffic, now today when playing the TrafficRaceDemo scene both player and NPC racing cars crash into invisible walls when the lights turn red? I do not remember encountering this last night. And the same happens when creating a new project. Is this normal? (Though I admit I need to learn more about Playmaker)

    Also just a heads up that importing Modular Traffic before Car Setup apparently makes the traffic lights turn blue & cyan.

    Change those walls to triggers, probably. I don't know about the system, but that sounds likely that it uses triggers to detect traffic lights being on, and they're not set to a trigger, so they're being collided with.

    Hi, please check those object need to be in layer CarTrafficBlock, possibly changed something in Tags/Layers? Or imported other asset which uses layers?
    Those objects should not be triggers.

    haven't changed any settings, literally create new project, import Playmaker, Car Setup and Modular Traffic, load TrafficRaceDemo scene and all Tags/Layers show as Default.
    Is this a problem with my Unity? (I'm using 5.6.5f1 with Playmaker 1.8.9)

    EDIT: Importing Modular Traffic first before Car Setup works! However I get Blue and Cyan traffic lights so I have to untick them from importing
