I've set up some cars that are stable and drive well across the track. They don't flip over when taking sharp corners at high speeds or anything like that.

The problem is when they crash into each-other they fly into the air as if they have no weight. I've tried tweaking the mass, drag, angular drag but it hasn't helped.

Does anyone know why this is happening or how I can fix it?

    Thanks.

You can try using on collision Enter add force dawn (-y) and freeze x rotation, after exit of collision return to the default value and set rotation to default .
The wheelCollider and the physics sucks at moment, lets see in the U5 version.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try doing that. Let's hope WheelColliders & Car Physics become less of a pain in the ass in Unity 5.
