Can't Start Unity on DX11 without this workaround

    So this started happening to me recently...

    My project has been working fine for the better part of 2 years, and as of now I am running 2018.2.6f with the new Razer Blade 15" Max--Q 1070.

    We use Plastic SCM for source control

    Anyways, if i boot up my project in standard configuration after changing branches, the project crashes. If I force opengl, it loads. I then switch graphics platforms to DX11 and restart and it works fine.... until i switch branches again of course ;)

    This is costing me a lot of time. Any ideas?
