Hello! I'm new to using unity and following one of their learn projects, the John Lemon one, for an assignment. However, whenever I click play, I see only this image:

I can't view my character at all in the scene and need to so I can make sure things are working. Again, I am new so I really have no idea what is causing this or how to fix it. Any tips are welcome, thank you!!

Make sure your character and anything that you want to be visible are inside the camera's field of view. The camera is another object just like your player that you can move and rotate freely in the Scene view.

When in scene view and you click on the camera object, you'll see a representation of what should be in view of the camera. That can help you position the camera.

Same here. Can't see un the play mode any object created. And this is a completely new project, couldn't have messed up anything even if I wanted to.

Main camera the Transform component, put Z to -10. You probably reset it from the start.

As I mentioned above, your objects are not in your camera's field of view. Having the camera at the same z position as your objects means they won't be seen.
