I have a character which I managed to rig. Now my character needs a weapon, so I added a empty GameObject which I named "weapon" and i gave that GameObject a skinnedMeshRenderer-Component.

But now my weapon i way to big and it all would be good if I could just scale it down, but how? please help, I stuck with this for over a week now :/

You might have to remove that empty game object with the skinnedmeshRenderer-Component and delete it.

Make a copy of the weapon model, import the weapon model into max, blender or maya etc, and scale down the weapon model and then save it. Then, re-import the scaled down weapon model into unity, and do your magic.

If there is another way, hopefully someone can chip in.
