So i made a game with unity, i exported for pc standalone, i tried opening it, and it couldnt open. Is this a windows or unity problem? (i have contacted windows, no answer yet)
Is this on the same machine that you built it from Unity? Or did you transfer the build to a different machine?
Check this Windows Support page for basic troubleshooting. Since Unity successfully generated the build, it's probably not a permission issue and unlikely to be a Unity problem. The mostly likely cause is the executable is being blocked by your Antivirus.
Did you try building a game to a different folder, perhaps somewhere outside of %USERPROFILE% (not that it should matter...)? Do you know which file it's not able to access?
Can you go into the folder/file properties and see if you have the permission to open the file, and if you don't, can you try granting it to yourself? Did you by any chance install the editor from another Windows user or something?
I have the permissions to open it and I downloaded the editor and stuff on the same user I’m exporting as
Can you show the screenshots of those permissions? Did you try following these steps? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...-or-file-46361133-47ed-6967-c13e-e75d3cc29657
I did solve the problem, and it appeared that windows did some stuff even tho it said that I had all the permissions and stuff, we just had to do some stuff, all fixed now!
