I ran a code snippet I found on unity answers, and it crashed unity version 2019.1.8, Unity hub version 2.3.2

Now if I try to open a project, it starts to, but then just kicks back to Hub and doesn't open the project.

Even projects unrelated to the one that crashed will no longer open.

I tried rebooting, as well as deleting the temp, library, etc folders other than Assets in the project. Still can't open any projects.....

The code that crashed it is the last answer here: https://answers.unity.com/questions/1470513/convert-texture-to-texture2d.html

Edit:: So noticed it now says I don't have a license (I pay for plus), so I got my key off the Unity site and press "Activate new license" in hub, and enter my license, then it says "Your license successfully validated" But then says "Machine identification is invalid for current license", and kicks me back out to not having a license.....

I tried revoking the seat, and generating a new key, same thing, activates then says machine id invalid.

Also updated hub to latest version, same problem.

Edit 2:: Following the "machine identification is invalid" on google, it says delete Unity....I have....8 versions of Unity installed with a whole bunch of configurations for various projects on this machine....are you serious? https://support.unity3d.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039435032 "Step 1: Uninstall Unity"

edit3:: looks like deleting the license .ulf files in ProgramData worked without uninstalling Unity. I'd delete this post but don't see an option to do so.
