Cant make an animation clip for a slider menu

Hey, ive been trying to make an animation clip for a slider menu to make it slide in and out when clicked, ive been following this video

but it just does not work anymore the way it does in the video, im assuming the video is outdated, the timestamp im confused about in the video is 7:45 and i cannot progress from there due to this problem if anyone can help me figure out how to do what hes doing in the video or link me another video showing me how to do the same thing i would greatly appreciate it

 

Have you seen the sort of new UI Builder/ UI Toolkit? It has full animation support of transitions and is easy for that sort of thing. Might be worth a look if it’s an option for what you’re doing. https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/UIBuilder.html
