Cant Login, open or create new project

Hi I'm new. So, I downloaded and installed unity today and upon starting the program where I would get the new project dialogue box, I get a blank grey box with no text or anything.
Forcing Unity to restart lets me get inside Unity but I cant seem to Login or create/open projects as I'm greeted by the same ominous grey box.
Please help.

P.S : I have tried resolving the issue by looking it up on youtube but I haven't been successful. (I tried making a new_module folder and extracting contents of the Unity/packages into it and pasting the entire thing on the Appdata Unity folder.)
