    Hi!

I'm a new user. I'm trying desperately to install Unity and get stuck in, but every time I go through the process of installing it, it looks like it's working fine but then when it gets to the end of the process, nothing has happened. Unity Hub stays open and tells me I still don't have Unity installed on my machine.

I used to live in the States and moved to Australia...I mention this because I installed an earlier version of Unity that I uninstalled on the same computer because apparently it was outdated. I couldn't log in to the same account because it was asking for phone confirmation which I couldn't provide because I no longer have that number and had no idea how to recover the account. So I set up a new account... Could that be the problem?

Any ideas anyone has to try to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks so much!

In my experience this has almost always been due to a connection dropping. You can download releases manually at the link below and then point the hub at them by clicking Installs -> Locate.

Thank you so much for your help. I tried it, but now I'm getting an error message that says "The program can't start because d3dcomplier_47.dll is missing from your computer. Please try to re-install the program." I tried installing and re-installing twice now.

    Any suggestions?

That's because d3dcompiler_47.dll is a component of DirectX. Google 'd3dcompiler_47.dll is missing' for a fix.

Thanks so much, Ryiah. What if it says those updates are not applicable to my computer?
