    (Case 747744)

Can't enter credentials on XUBUNTU 14.04.
    Editor Version: 5.2.2f1

    1. What happened
I can not enter my unity account credentials to login to the editor. It seems that it ignores keyboard input. The login form however is displayed as expected. A "work offline" possibility is not given.

    2. How we can reproduce it
    1. Freshly installed editor on XUBUNTU 14.04 via Ubuntu Software Center (the OS is also fresh installation).
    2. Started Unity executable.
    3. Login form shows up.
    4. Tried to enter credentials.
    5. Keyboardinput not recognized.

Same problem here, same configuration: Xubuntu 14.04 and Unity 5.2.2f1
I would like to know the current situation status, seeing that this seems to be a repeating problem...
The Fluxbox workaround seems to do the trick but one would figure that this bug would have some amount of priority since there is no way (to my knowledge) to access Unity without this step.
    Any news on this department?

Liar, I offered my solution in 2 different posts. Here's the solution one more time:

Know the command how to launch your window manager in terminal, probably xfwm4 assuming you are using xfce.

Open terminal, type in yourwindowmanager --replace, so for you probably it is xfwm4 --replace, for ubuntu it is compiz --replace and so on.

Press Ctrl+C to terminate window manager

Don't click anywhere and type unity-editor (probably, at least on arch linux) to launch unity. Or unityinstallpath/Editor/Unity. If you can't type, try hovering your mouse on the terminal window.

    Enter all the stuff.

    Close unity (alt+f4 should work).

In terminal type yourwindowmanagercommand, so for you probably xfwm4.

Press alt+f2 (enter command key) and type in yourwindowmanager --replace, so for you probably it is xfwm4 --replace.

Done. In project creation input should work I guess, if not, just rename your project name later

Or use Plasma 5 or fluxbox, all problems solved... ;)
