Installed Unity 5.3.0f4 and loaded an existing project.

After a while I can't edit C# scripts with Monodevelop 5 anymore which is part of Unity 5.3.0.
Means. I can't enter anything with the keyboard.

When I create a new script with Monodevelop I can edit it, but saving gives an error message like "Not under version control". In fact I don't use version control with this project

    I use OS X 10.11.2

    Any ideas?

Are you using (or were at one point using) SVN or some other version control outside of Unity? There are complaints on Xamarin also about this, and it was solved by going into preferences, and disabling version control.
