    Hi,
I have this weird issue happening everywhere in my project, on every Prefabs, etc.
Basically, if I create an Empty GameObject in the hierarchy and add a script on it, it will then be locked like shown bellow. (I can still remove component, and add another one instead)

Any thoughts about what's happening here ? :)

Your best best is disabling or enabling the scripts. I'm guessing since it's a prefab that it's referencing the original object.

It's a bug. They have said it will be fixed in one of the other threads. For now just remove it and add the new one.

I am still getting this issue, and I am using Unity 2018.2.0f2
Has the bug still not been fixed?

This is not a bug, it's an intended change. The script field of MonoBehaviours has been disabled since Unity 5.x. You must remove the component and add a new one.

You can still change the script by going into debug mode.Easiest way is to right-click the inspector tab and select "debug".
