Can't Activate Unity Personal

    When I'm trying to activate Unity 5.5.0a1 it says that Unity Personal is disabled. Reinstalling did not help. Is there any way to fix this?

    The "a" in 5.5.0a1 I'm guessing means alpha and I think you need to own pro to get into the alpha builds.

    Did you by chance download the Alp\ha build instead of the 2D Preview. Unfortunately the Download Assistant is named the same I believe.
    Did anyone else running on Personal have this issue?

    I had this issue with Unity Pro. It refused to log me in. I believe I reinstalled it, skipped the login (somehow), and then logged in afterwards.

    Some users who faced this problem, reported that running the release version of Unity, log in, quit, then run the preview build will solve the Personal being disabled issue.

    I have a similar problem. First I installed the preview on a clean Mac without any previous Unity installation and personal account was disabled. Then I installed the release version, but I renamed the preview Unity installation directory first. I could login with the release version and then I could start the preview version, too, but it doesn't know the TileMap class anymore, which works on the Windows version. So I installed the preview version again, still not working.

    Not a good experience for people who would like to try it on Mac without any previous release version. I guess there are some folders shared somewhere between the versions, which is bad, too, because then people with the release version can't take a look at the preview version in parallel, without destroying their release version.

    Looks like on Windows there are similar problems. At least the program installation directories are different, but looks like all Unity versions uses files from c:\ProgramData\Unity (I get a strange error "Failed to write "c:/ProgramData/Unity/Unity_v5.x.ulf" when I open the project). But I can still run the project. Maybe you should add a warning on the preview download page, that installing this preview version destroys your release version on Mac and does strange things to your Windows installation.

    i cant reactivate unity personal . it says almost done and nothing happens

    after creating my profile in personal edition ,tn clicked on OK it only loads no activity happens
