TextMesh Pro Cannot reposition Text Mesh Pro text

So I'm following a tutorial on Udemy, but now with Unity 2021 using Text Mesh Pro, my text object is located to the right of my other text object, and when I try to reposition it with the Move Tool, it just stays stuck in place. I can't figure out how to move the object to reposition it where I want it to go. I also cannot scale it using the rectangular scaler. How do I modify the size and position of the object?
