I've recently been trying to get back into Unity, this is a relatively brand new desktop (a few months, fresh install of windows) and yet I literally cannot install Unity editor no matter what I do. I installed the hub, attempted to install it through there, though I either finish the download and nothing happens (No files were actually installed), or it claims that the download failed.

I also tried to install the editor straight from the website (https://unity3d.com/get-unity/downl...02.577235252.1606865599-1856156329.1606865599). I have installed the "Unity Installer" and "Unity Editor 64-bit", though upon launching, in admin, nothing happens, OR I will receive a windows error (see picture below)

If anyone could help, that would be greatly appreciated, I am very frustrated as I have been trying to install the editor for days.

0xc000007b "application is unable to start correctly" is a rather generic error, often means some library or dependency is missing or otherwise couldn't be loaded. Could be system files, could be driver related, could be a directX problem, maybe the Editor installer requires one of the VC++ redistributable packages that for some reason you don't already have pre-installed. Not enough information to get any level of specificity.

I actually don't have VC++ installed, could that be the issue?

Edit - I installed it but I am still getting the same error. Do you know possibly why Unity Hub seems to be unable to install it as well?

As already mentioned, not enough information from the error to say what specifically is missing or corrupted in your machine. The Hub unable to install it is probably the same reason as the stand alone installer failing. If you google this specific error you'll see it its a standard Windows error, not an error specific to Unity. People seem to resolve it by fixing individual system DLL's, reinstalling directx, reinstalling video drivers, reinstalling .Net framework, or a full reinstall of Windows.
