Other cannot install editor

so, i have unity 3.5.0, and everytime i try to install the editor (any version of it) it fails because "Validation Failed". What is that error? What does it mean? and how do i fix it?

 

Unity 3.5? That version is roughly 15 years old. Unless you are using a computer and OS that‘s about the same age it is unlikely to work.

Perhaps you meant the Unity Hub v3.5? Don‘t know what version it currently has. In any case, if install fails, uninstall the Hub and reinstall it to its default location. Most users having such issues install the Hub or editor to locations outside the regular Windows apps or documents paths, which means permissions of these folders are likely to be incorrect.

Same goes for creating projects in custom locations.

 

yeah! i meant that! sorry for non-clarification, but i have unity hub 3.5.0, however... is uninstalling=deleting?
