Cannot get more than one contact point in Collision2D

I have a circle collider moving inside a closed polygon collider. When bumping into an angle of the polygon where the circle collides with 2 points at the same time I always get only one contact point.
    Has anyone experienced something similar?

Unity uses Box2D for 2D physics. Circle-Circle & Circle-Polygon collisions only ever produce a single contact point. Polygon-Polygon can produce two.
