Cannot download editor from unity hub

Every time I try to download unity from unity hub it comes up with an error message that says "error while executing the installer". I did not download any other components and just the editor. This has become more bothersome now that unity hub is the only way to download unity.

 

you can still download an installer. I noticed that the installation doesn't work when you block google analytics.
Analytics should be opt-in in the first place, please fix that.

 

how do i opt in to google analytics?

 

you can't it isn't optional. It only a problem when you block analytics with a firewall

 

The report button in unity hub does not work too

I am currently using unity hub 1.6.2 which should be the latest version and on windows 10.

 

I have updated to hub 2.0.0 and the same bugs still occur

Hi, it seems I have a similar problem.

 

But it's a little different, basically:
When I download, Unity does not appear and I cannot connect.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall several times, but it didn't work.
But my first real problem is that when the unit was installed before I had the problem, when I started downloading it, it turned off right after I connected and said I turned it off.
and when I report a bug it tells me "Something went wrong"

 

I cant get unity to install on OSX at all using HUB 2.
It downloads but then nothing......

I manage it !
By locating ''preferred downloading file path'' . In my case it was chosen unexisted Disd D that I deleted awhile ago.
Then I choose E disc to path the editor

 

I have a kind of same problem I bought a new pc and when I add I click the newest version and visual studio then the add button turns grey and after like 1 second its blue again!

 

I download the new unity and then BAM! it dissapears out of the unity hub like the rest of you guys. Very very inconvient

 

I have the same problem. It looks like the downloaded installer is corrupted. When I try to run it manually I get an integrity error. So the reason it disappears is because after the download, the hub fails when trying to run it. The hub should be doing a better job of ensuring the integrity during the entire process and repairing any problems before getting to the end of the process and simply failing.

 

I too have same problem . unity version gets disappear after downloading ...please give a solution for this

I too am having this issue. I needed to download 2019.2.0 and it wont even download from the archive but other versions of unity are working and downloading fine. I am also not able to install modules when I get the version of unity I need installed.

 

I have same problem. When i installed unity first time download stucked at 90%, then i tried clicking "add" button and it also installs 90% then stuck! Plz help

 

Still the same issue in April 2020. I can not install any version of Unity in Unity Hub 2.3.0 on macOS. And there's no other way to install it. AbrahamDUnity is there any workaround on today?

 

I think I have the same problem. Whenever I try to download the unity editor, it starts downloading but never completes downloading. The furthest it has ever gone for me was somewhere near 70%.

If your download manager doesn't work properly unless the connection is always stable and never drops, it is worthless. Even download managers from browsers are capable of resuming failed downloads nowadays. Who thought this was a good idea? Or maybe it hasn't dawned on whoever came up with the idea that not every person has symmetrical gigabit fiber broadband with zero downtime.

 

every time i try to download a version of unity it either says failed to download or not enough memory even thought it says 125gb available for 25gb of software

for anyone who was having the issue where the editor would seem to download then just disappear, I was having this using the hub on Mac.

I dunno why it isn't creating the destination folder, but after I went in and manually created it, the download and install worked fine.

 

My HUB on Mac is stuck on the "Launch Unity... You are almost there, thanks for waiting..." screen for 24 hours.
OS 10.12.3, Unity Hub 2.0.0-beta.1. I've never installed it on this machine before. I'm in China, so the whole VPN makes it a challenge but c'mon guys, a downloader should at least have a progress bar. I don't even see a place to look at a log. And no pause-resume button? What year is this?

 

Yes I have the same issue. Whenever I try to download the editor from the hub it would get all the way and then not be in my applications. I tried to skip the Unity Wizard stage and Install it from the Hub Application and that is the same problem and not working either/ PLEASE HELP.

Hi I tried several times to download unity editor through hub but each time after downloading the editor through hub it vanishes and throws an error "Incomplete or Corrupt download file" Please help me out with my problem

i've had a similar problem. closing the hub and running it as administrator was a nice quick fix for it. give it a try and hope it works for yous too.

When i download it and then it downloads completely ten it suddenly shows a message that it could not install unity and removes it from the hub

 

When I try to download via phone hotspot, It can install correctly with no issue. However when I try to download via home ISP (it is vdsl and also uses -->CGN ip<-- and low speed (20Mbit/ps) against the 4G), it stops at %90+ and give "could not download/install unity" error.

On Windows 10/ Hub V2.4.2

But I can't download from the hub as well.

Some additional info:

• Installing 2019.4.13 from the hub also results in the same error
• Installing beta version 2020.2 from the hub works fine (I've noticed it was downloaded from beta.unity.com instead of download.unity.com would that be the cause?)
• Installing 2020.1.11 manually using Unity Download Assistant also works

Tried clearing the temp folder as pointed out in another thread, doesn't help.

Any idea what happened?

On Google Chrome, i download the UnitySetup64 also throw Network Failed,. I must resume many times to complete. I use wifi network.
I hope Unity Team add feature resume download to Unity Hub.
