Cannot Build My Project On WEBGL - Error il2cpp.exe

    HI THERE
    I NEED UR HELP
    I TRIED TO BOUKD MY PROJECT ON WEB GL AND THAN IT SHOW ME THIS 4 ERRORs
    What Should i do to fix it and be able to Build My Project To WEBGL
    (I Must say that i did succeed to Build it To windows)

    you can not use the system.diagnostics or system.IO namespace in WebGL
    i don't know where all the other errors come from. but pearhaps it's solved if you remove them.

    It looks like the error is "Native error= The requested operation requires elevation." when attempting to run "C:\Program Files\Unity\Hub\Editor\2020.1.3f1\Editor\Data\il2cpp/build/deploy/netcoreapp3.0/il2cpp.exe", which is quite unexpected. The error suggests that the logged in user would not have privileges to execute Unity IL2CPP compiler in Unity 2020.1.3f1.

    By default installation, there should not be any Windows user access restrictions placed to Unity editor files. The only scenario I can think that might cause something like this on Windows is if one (admin?) user installed Unity, and it somehow was restricted to specific user privileges, and then another logged in user attempted to access the file, but it was restricted for only that other user. (Or more exotic, if Unity was installed on one hard drive, and that hard drive was then swapped to another Windows computer)

    Is the computer you are running on a system with multiple user accounts, or a separate admin/regular user account?

    Does the error happen on all projects that you build to WebGL with Unity 2020.1.3f1? Does the error happen if you install a new Unity editor version, and try building to WebGL with that?

    I have suffered from this problem intermittently in almost all versions of Unity, without any apparent cause. I only have one user account on Windows, but many versions of Unity and different accounts.

    This is what worked for me:
    1. Update Unity Hub.
    2. Run Unity Hub as administrator.

    Thanks for that clue of information, very much appreciated! When you do that, does it permanently "unbreak" the Unity installation, or do you have to keep doing that for each Unity Hub launch?

    I presume here is that if Unity Hub is run as administrator, when it launches a Unity Editor, that Editor instance will also be run as an administrator, which is what helps avoid the permissions error.

    If you right-click on the file C:\Program Files\Unity\Hub\Editor\2020.1.3f1\Editor\Data\il2cpp/build/deploy/netcoreapp3.0/il2cpp.exe (or whatever the file that fails access is) and choose Properties->Security, are you able to see whether your Windows user account has permissions over the il2cpp file?
