I tried to bring in a new project from one of my students who had been using a newer version. It made the screen so I could no longer read any of the commands. So I deleted Unity and reinstalled it brand-new for the Mac.

And it looks like the screen to man's role most in a different language? Any ideas

Sounds like one of the fonts has been corrupted... not really sure what to do at this point. Might try deleting the library folder, this will cause everything to reimport - might fix the font.
If that doesn't help - There are some issues with OpenGL 4 support on Mac that I thought were fixed in that patch. But you might try forcing it to run in OpenGL 2 mode. to do this, you'll need to go into terminal and run the following:

    Applications/Unity/Unity.app/Contents/MacOS/Unity -force-opengl

If that fixes it, you can go into player settings, turn off "auto graphics API for mac", and then move OpenGL2 to the top of the list, and it will default to opengl2 for that project.

If neither of those work, then I'm at a loss.
