Long story short I really dont wanna buy a link cable and am having problems w link anyways. VD works just fine for gaming for me, so I want to use it for dev too but am having no luck. Tried injecting the built game and the unity editor into VD and it didn't help either. Is it just not possible? How do I get it to work?

Yep, if your wireless connection is good enough. I do about 40-99 Mbps and it works reliably

Oh, so if you're trying to use a Quest or Quest 2, previewing VR in editor with the Play button is not supported, Air Link / Virtual Desktop / or Link cable. I have no idea why not. Majorly disappointed to find this.

You literally have to make a build and run it on the hardware itself to preview anything in VR with the Quest 2...
