Can i import something?

    I just wanna know if I can create a 3d character and put him on a 2-d platform, and make him do virtually the same thing a 2-d character but more detailed.

    like 2.5d,

    and running into parallax environments..?

    Making him more free roam.

    Sure, why not.

    Just try it and see how it looks :) Obviously using an orthographic camera will make things look more 2D compared to a perspective camera.

    Can you link me to any tutorials or any guides that might showcase what i'm talking about?

    Sorry I don't know of any, but doing a google search for:

    unity "3d model" in 2d game

    Yielded a lot of results.

    Oh wow ! thanks alot,
    I tried other searches like "import 3d character" into 2d platform,
    and 3d rendered characters...and got nothing useful, thanks alot.

    I wish there was an actual video on it, so i can see the performance...

    In Unity, everything is technically 3D. The 2D mode is just a dumbed-down 3D mode. You can mix and match 2D and 3D in the same scene, just be aware that some things don't work together, for example 2D and 3D physics. You have to choose one of both.
