when I press record on a camera, I can move it freely in the scene view but not in the game view so composing a shot is quite hard, same thing with animating an agent, it cannot be done from the game view.

That the game view doesn't allow interaction is ok but for cinematic it is obviously undesirable restriction so I'm sure you devs came up with a solution.

Is there a special game view that allows scene view level interaction?

In general no, although that would be a great feature. There may be certain custom tracks where there is - cinemachine has game view debug visualizations for example, but nothing springs to mind as being editable in the game view.

It's hard to say for sure, but definitely possible. I expect how Timeline previews to change in the future as we integrate and migrate close to DOTS, but exactly how I can't say for certain. A lot of it will be contextual...for Cameras the game view is obviously an advantage.

    Very cool.
All the editor teams are pouring resources towards migrating to DOTS?

Maybe not quite all, but a lot of teams are investing resources towards DOTS. It does have a lot of impact, but there are advantages to migrating Timeline to DOTS, previewing being one of them.

totally I'm with you all, it'll be glorious and I'm sure it's a massive breath of fresh air as a lot of the editor code is so old it must be hard to fix!
