Hi, i updated a Project from 5.5.2. to 2017.2 but the animations of a c4d file were gone:

i tried different things: reimport, modify and save, upgrade cinema from r16 to r18. The i changed the frame range of the animation inside cinema to 4000. And bam the animations were back:

then i changed the frame range back to 5000 but the frame track inside unity was gone:

There are other cinema files in the project that have the same "no animation data available in this model" message but there are also some that works just fine.

wtf i don't understand. This looks buggy to me. Does anybody have a clue? is it the cinema file thats broken or is it unity?
    Best regards Nija

i could solve fix some of the c4d files by adding a cube to the file and save it. Delete the cube. Save it. Reimport the file into unity.
Unfortunately two files were completely broken. I exported one as and fbx and the second i had to change and delete objects from the hierarchy.
