Aye you've said you're against Steam for many reasons. You also mentioned you're opposed to buying off of Steam. You also said if you buy direct, from humble or off Greenmangaming you often get a Steam key.

Why aren't you moaning about this as well. By doing this devs/pubs are only re-enforcing Steams dominance rather being all "Hey! You're shopping somewhere else other than Steam here's a non-Steam copy". You should be shouting "Oi! Devs! Naaooo!"

^^ makes it seem like you have a hunner games on Steam you'll never play. You've taken those keys you got from humble, direct, GMG and redeemed them on Steam.

Even buying the games that give you a Steam key but torrenting it still re-enforces Steam.

Keep dodging the question but I'll keep asking. Will you be attempting to put your game on Steam? Avoiding it only makes it seem like you'll sell out when it comes time.

Yeah DRM-ception. It killed Assassin's Creed Black flag for a lot of users.

That's how I ended up on Steam. Bought something from a publisher web site and it needed to be installed through Steam. Was POed at first, but I got over it and like the convenience of Steam - all my games in one place, no need for piles and piles of game boxes. Remember those HUGE boxes that contained a tiny little disk?

Haha this is what i was thinking while i scanned the first line of the troll posts then skipped, maybe these people never went to a shop before, or had their game ruined by putting the 3.75" (or stack of them) too near a speaker or a wet thing or something..

Interesting thing said in troll feeding by non-troll about the UK though. As someone from the UK i'm sad to report that the national health service, one of the true great things about the country and symbol of socialism being mighty has been increasingly privitised and plummetting in quality for quite some time now, that said i'm still incredibly glad it's still here given my circumstances and what i observe elsewhere

Steam sales would be a wonderful thing if i let myself play games! I would get nothing done if i played games other than to check some technology. Maybe No Man's Sky, Cradle and Witcher 3 will get some time at the right point, but right now the sales are for avoiding! bad capitalism!

Man, I LOVED your country's health care system. When I was there on a student visa in the 90s, I had to have my appendix removed and it cost me all of 50 quid and they're not stingy with the morphine! I'm sure I would have died had I been state-side when it happened since it was between semesters and my school insurance only covered me during the semester. At the very least I would probably still be paying it off 20-plus years later! Sad that it's changing. The UK's that is. Glad ours is become a bit more like yours even though my job pays for my insurance for the rest of my life.

What troll posts? My disagreeing with the notion that Steam is somehow evil and not buying from them means you have integrity and can take some moral high ground? Pfft.

You can blame the tories for that S***. It's better in Scotland from what I hear and aside from one person the NHS has been nothing but great for me. Point still stands though that healthcare is not only for the wealthy.

Hear hear. Morphine is F***ing great. Got a button I could press every 20 minutes that dispened it after I had surgery. Fun couple of days.

You were the nontroll i was talking about! Not everyone's out to get you! That integrity hoo haa is pure troll horseshit and i think its better people just pretend that person doesn't exist, probably like what happens in real life to them

I like Steam loads, Valve has very legitimately earnt their place on the top of the pile through ingenuity and talent and it seems they'll have several other big interests by the nuts at some point too, go valve!

Drugs are awesome too, which was why i was sad project temporality looked smart as hell but wasn't actually trippy to look at (thanks for the recommendation though whoever that was). If anyone can recommend any decent graphical mind-whoooshes i'd be very grateful

I bought The Stanley Parable. Always interesting to see video game storytelling experimented with.

Sure, i'm looking for graphical mind whooshes on steam, very keen to find some inventive and pretty visuals, there seems to be a terrible lack of this sort of thing
