Starting a new thread here with a more descriptive title. I'm trying to shoot video dev blogs on this as often as I can to keep myself accountable and motivated. I'm still early in the learning process. If you have time to give me feedback on my project post a link to your thread and I'll be happy to give you some on yours.

You can follow the whole learning and development project at my blog: http://www.newbquest.com

    Here's the latest video:

and here's a link to my collaboration thread with more about my eventual goals for the project.

Adding my latest Dev Blog here in which I show a video of my new simple procedural level generation system and physics based weapons, including a homing missile.

Thanks for checking it out! :D

Just a quick update, here's the latest:

I added a recharging shield and ammunition tracking. I'm starting to get a bit more of a handle on how I want the main mechanics to feel and am having a lot of fun. If you have time to check this out and leave some feedback I'd be happy to leave some on yours.

Not sure if it's there or not but, maybe add a cross hair or something that will help the user know where their shots are aiming towards. It's a common feature in most shooter games.
