    Hi,
I have been working on this game since the beginning of June. It is a first-person shooter where you must kill guards (still trying to think of some unique aspects, if you have any ideas that would be awesome!).

Here is the video of the game so far:

    Any suggestions would be fantastic!

    Thanks

Pretty good looking AI in my opinion. I'm sure you have some tweaking to do for AI but it looks so far so good.
When I was watching the video I kept thinking about sound propagation. I think the guys at the other fire pit would hear the initial gun fire and come a running to protect there buds.

That was just my first impressions, so no expectations here for you to follow that path. :)

Looking good for mobile. Saw the 'lighting' effect on the gun near the fire pit. May want to make it a little more orange.

    Keep at it.

Edit: Adding some melee into the mix would increase the play for the player to do something different with enemies close. That point when the game restarted and the guy was close to the rock seemed a little too close for comfort. But if you do add a melee attack, make it something different. COD and most other shooters have been using the same knife swipe for years.
Bulletstorm did some unique stuff, but it was over-hyper realistic.

Thanks! The AI took some time to code, yes. :) Also I was thinking about a melee thing but I need to first have some models/animations done for it. :p

What's the performance like with the destruction and the image effects/shadows?

    Nice question.
Was just going to mention those are some powerful bullets, but wanted to also echo Whiteleafs question.

Are you asking generally, or for this game specifically?
If generally - yes this is doable with proper animation rig setup in the 3D animation package.

The performance for the destruction is pretty good, and there are no realtime shadows, it is all baked. However, the shaders I am using are pretty laggy on older devices like the iPod Touch 5. :/
If I had more money I could hire a better artist. :/

I asked for this game :)

Another suggestion: I like the destruction part, but maybe you could integrate it more reasonable. Like leaving a hole in a wall and filing it with a destructable wall.

I just found a very cool Unity-Shooter which might could inspire you:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sideeffect.coalition&hl=en

    Pros:

    1. 4 classes and many weapons with cool animations
    2. Cool movement (especially forward movement animation and the slight leaning when moving right/left)
    3. HUD is easy to use

    Cons:

    1. Awful, awful, awful controls
    2. Only one map

This looks like the best mobile FPS I've seen so far; smooth controls, smooth gameplay, what looks to be no lag(or maybe 30fps, either way performance is much better than most), and looks great. :)

I didn't think the lighting in my game looked good at all :S Anyways I used a baked GI resolution of 20, and I use lightmaps atlas size 2048, so there are 3 lightmaps for that level which takes up like 8 mb or so (maybe it's 12mb, can't remember).
    Thanks :)
Ok I will check it out ;)

    Another generic FPS shooter
The only FPS that can interest me are these with some interesting universe like Bioshock or Dishonored and bringing original gameplay.

Good work on the game sor far.

Really agree with zenGarden, I'm not a fps die hard, but I do enjoy well made fps games similar to the ones zen mentions. I'm all for a person following their desire to create the type of game they want to make, and if your interested in getting some attention from fps-ers you need a 'hook'. At least one that is novel or just a super kick butt feature that is better than all other games that draw in the horde of fps players to your game.
How is the game different than the bucket full of other fps games that came out last week on mobile? If your looking to just make a generic, run of the mill, same ol' same ol' fps - I believe you are succeeding.
The game play looks tight, but not too much different than any other mobile fps currently available. Destruction is cool - but I've seen that in several other games maybe as far back as Dead Trigger 2.

How are you going to attract customers from the pile of other fps games that fulfill the mobile fps gaming want?

Serious questions for a developer who is interested in creating something above/different than the library of same ol' fps's that are released daily on mobile.

I don't know. I want to make the game realistic, and it is hard to think of ways to make it unique if the game is realistic. If you or anyone else has any ideas, please tell me!!

Who summons the armored kitty? Heh, that could be a Pokemon...

On a more serious note, the reason I started the GMP is because I usually do a better job of writing games, when I start with a game mechanic and build up from there. You might be different, but I'd recommend starting with a mechanic and building up from there at least once; doing so makes it more likely that you put out a strong game. If it doesn't work out so well, you still win - you'll have a better idea of what does work for you.

Maybe I'm missing something? Point me to some mechanic you've implemented that makes your game significantly different from any other game out there?

True, but then why would people play this game instead of the other FPS's like it? You gotta have something unique otherwise people won't be all that interested.

Well, I never said it was bad, and I agree. I am actually interested in the game, but just suggesting he adds something unique that way it will attract more attention.

I'm not suggesting 'different' either - keep at it. You are progressing well. Though Whiteleaf's point is valid and pretty accurate regarding specifically fps games.

But - if you find yourself wanting to check out some 'different' fps mechanics - check BulletStorm. That game was - pretty different compared to other fps games
Not suggesting incorporating mechanics like they did - but it's a good reference that deviates from the standard fps shtick.
I think its sales were mediocre because of how different the mechanics were - fps-ers didn't like the deviation from the tried and true standard fps mechanics - but some of the mechanics were interesting - if slightly under-polished - kinda hackie.

Looks really cool! I have a few questions, firstly, is it multiplayer or with bots? Second, how much will this cost?

Adding a variety of missions VIP escort, bomb disarming, hold the base, landing (see D-Day, Normandy), escaping, stealth, intel collection, demolition, assault/take the base, assassination to name a few.

Adding a story/campaign, short or long can help.

Looks good, very good actually :)

Oh!? Well let me explain :D

VIP Escort or just VIP, is a military/private security service where a unit escorts a high profile person who's life is in considerable danger from A to B.

Bomb disarming, well simple and straight forward, timed mission. A place has been rigged with an explosive that must be disarmed.

Hold the base is where you survive against enemy waves in increasing difficulty in protecting a building or an area.

Landing is more of a survival thing. In a landing from sea to land you just have to survive from the boat to a safe place. When the allied landed on the French coast in WW2 the beach was littered with dead. It's like there is a platoon of enemies aiming at the sardine box that you are in. It will open in 3 2 1 now and you have to survive alive to a trench or anywhere you are safe from bullets.

Escaping, for example you have been in an enemy camp. Interrogated or what ever. You escape, get weapons on location, call for help and survive to the extraction point.

Stealth/intel/assassination is just a form of game where you are not to be seen by the enemy. No bodies or only the target. These can easily be turned into escape missions too. Or...

Demolition which is just placing a bomb in an enemy structure, taking distance and click. You won the game ;)

I'm so bad at optimizing. I have tried so hard to optimize it but it still lags even on iPhone 6 plus. :( Any tips? :S
