Building UWP for Xbox One is super laggy

    After tons of challenge and problem solving, we've finally ported our Steam game Never Ending Night over to our xbox one development kit. However, what followed a happy cheer seeing the unity logo appear on the screen was a disgruntled sigh. The game is super laggy and super slow on the xbox. The game is eating up a low amount of CPU but a ridiculously high 600 - 800 mb process memory in game.

    Has anyone been through or solved this problem? We've pulled off most of our hair already. Thanks in advance!

    I assume you use Master configuration? Have you tried profiling your application?

    Yes we are using master configuration. We thought it might be because we are building it with debug. But when we build without debug on visual studio this appears.

    Does this happen with empty project as well? Which Unity version is this?

    Yeah it happens on an empty project too and we are using Unity Version 5.4. Do you know what this error means? Maybe we didn't install something right?

    Hey Tomas! Im the programmer working with Swineboss. I actually ran the Unity Profiler on our game, and I think the main thing that is taking up a lot of time are the incredible amount of log statements that I have yet to delete in the game. But, Id rather not go in and delete each statement one by one, so I want to try running it without debug mode (so no statements are logged). But, whenever I try running the game I get the error Swineboss posted about before.

    Any idea what this error means?

    Also! What is really weird is that the error pops up only after the Deploy has succeeded. So, its deploying to the Xbox but then not getting run for some reason and giving that error.

    Im getting massive lag and also weird behavior and using Unity 5.4.1?
    Also not scaling fully to my TV size?
    Is there known Xbox One S issues?

    ^ Make sure not to use debug config. Use either Release or Master.

    I don't exactly understand the second issue. Could take a photo and post it?

    Thanks it was issue with using XAML, switched to D3D and solved the Screen Issue and Lag.
