Build - IL2CPP errors - Please, how fix it?

    Can you submit a bug report to Unity then? We should investigate this issue.

    I think that you both want to stick with r16b NDK.

    May I jump ship here, can't build for 64 Bit Android with IL2CPP -- and it's driving me nuts. Tried everything, including NDK 16b.

    Build always fails with this:

    Last sentence after "Native error" is in german, it's the error mentioned in this thread already: "The requested operation requires elevation". The directories seem to be write protected, which I tried to change, but doesn't really work out.

    I'm not sure why this happens, can you submit a bug report to Unity? Then we can investigate more.

    Just noticed a new Unity release and gave 2019.1.10f1 a try. And what shall I say... IT WORKS NOW! 64 bit ARMv7 IL2CPP... all that! With Unity's default Android JDK/NDK installs! Awesome.

    Hi @JoshPeterson,

    I had a similar issue. I've tried everything from this thread, but the error doesn't go away...

    I'm just upgraded to Unity 2019.1.10f1 and tried to build my project using IL2CPP to Android devices. The building process stops when it reaches the IL2CPP part. I tried building an empty project with the same settings and it worked.

    Please, help me out, I'm losing my mind with this... It's been a week already...

    @MuraliVenkat Did You Find any further solutions for it. I am persisting with the same error . Did it help by deleting the IOS folders ?

    This error means there is an extern method in C# code named isURLSchemeSupported (and a few others). An extern method must have a native method of the same name in the build. Is there a native library built for Android arm64 which exposes a function named isURLSchemeSupported?

    If not, then you can use #if statements in the C# code where that extern method is defined to ensure that the extern method is not compiled for Android arm64.

    Hi, i had the same problem. I leave here photo of errors. But now is solved!

    How do i solve this?

    First of all erase all plugins like GameAnalytics,FacebooSDK,...etc......Then, download previous unity (2019.1.14f1 for example) and take the ndk folder. Erase the ndk folder of your unity (the last one released). Put the ndk folder of the previous unity in the place where the erased folder was. Thats all for me. I could create 64 bits app bundle with no problem.

    Do you need to provide an Android build with the x86 architecture? Most Android devices are armv7 or arm64.

    Google's new requirement is 64 bit for new app. I need 32 + 64 bit both.
    I tried this, and can build 3 checkboxes now, and upload single APK to Play Console.
    The bug now is "not compliant 64 bit" for single APK build with 3 checkboxes.

    I don't believe that you need to to build for x86 to compile with Google's requirement. I think it requires only armv7 and arm64.

    Ok, may be you are right.. the x86 disabled checkbox may slightly decrease build size.
    The problem is not x86 now, but 64bit version, but it's not unity bug as I understand.

    Error il2cpp.exe did not run properly!. No puedo exportar mi APK para que sea tambien de 64 bits
    Tengo un juego para subirlo a PlayStore pero cuando lo quise subir apareció que tiene que ser para 64 bits tambien. a si que en las opciones de Unity le quite una que dice Mono y puse IL2CPP y a si ya pude seleccionar las otras opciones que dicen ARMv7 ARM64 x86. Pero cuando lo compilo de nuevo a la hora que esta en la parte Building Native Binary with IL2CPP no termine de hacer esa tarea, marcandome 3 errores:

    Nota: Tengo los textos en español del Juego y uso una Laptop Windows 10 Pro con Procesador AMD Ryzen 5u. El unity esta instalado en el Disco Solido que ya solo le queda 9 GB de espacio.

    Y tambien tengo instalado el SDK, JDK y NDK de Android Studio. Use tambien las rutas tanto de Unity como las rutas de (Android Studio) y tambien da error.

    I have similar il2cpp errors on unity 2017.4.31 with 64bit build

    NDK: r13b

    This error indicates there is a function named _sendMessageOther in the C# code in your project which is an extern method - meaning it must be defined in a native library. That native library is not present in the build, so this error occurs.

    Should this method exist in a native library? If so compile that native library for arm64 and include it in the Unity project. If it should not exist, you can prevent Unity from compiling it using #if statements. See https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/PlatformDependentCompilation.html for details.

    This error message indicates that there is an extern method in C# code in the project named _GetCurrentMediaTime. This method must exist in a native library. If it should not exist in a native library for Android, please use #if statements to prevent it from being compiled on Android.     It looks like the Unity editor cannot access the clang++ compiler in the Android NDK. It seems to be looking in this location: /home/samuel/Unity/Hub/Editor/2019.2.3f1/Editor/Data/PlaybackEngines/AndroidPlayer/NDK/android-ndk-r16b/toolchains/llvm/prebuilt/linux-x86_64/bin/clang++

    Does the file exist at that location, and does your current user have access to it?

    The error message does not indicate which file cannot be found, unfortunately. I suspect it is something in the Android NDK though. It might be worthwhile to attempt to reinstall the Android NDK on this computer.

    Can you try a build with an empty project? It also might be worthwhile to try an empty project with a newer version of Unity. This might help us determine if the issue is related to the Unity or NDK installation or if it is specific to your project.

    I've figured it out, guys. My project uses Firebase and for some reason the "link.xml" file was duplicated. I just needed to delete one of them to solve my issue. It took forever, but alas, hope it helps!

    I'm not sure why that happens. Can you try to build a new empty project with Unity 2019.1.8? It almost seems like something is corrupt in your Unity installation.

    That file should be created by the Unity player build process. So I'm not sure why it is missing. Are there other errors previous to this one? Maybe there is something wrong with the NDK installation that prevents it from working for Armv7.

    same issue as all the others: Crashing when trying to build 64-bit Android project. Tried removing library, didn't help. Also tried creating a new empty project and it produced same error message after failing. Then I tried using manually downloaded NDK 16b, but nothing seems to work. Has anyone succeeded overcoming this issue?

    It looks like il2cpp.exe cannot run, so the build process does not even get to the Android NDK. Can you try to run Unity as an administrator account? We've seen similar errors when there is some permissions issue that prevents il2cpp.exe from even starting.

    I have similiar problem. I'm using Unity 2018.4.9, NDK 16b. Building on monu works, building empty project on il2cpp works too.

    I tried running Unity as an administrator, it didn't help.

    The problem here is error: undefined reference to 'ThinkingAnalyticsInit'

    This means ThinkingAnalyticsInit is an extern method in C#. It must have a native implementation for Android. If it does, please make the the native library is in the build. If it should not have an implementation for Android, you can use #if statements to remove it. See https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/PlatformDependentCompilation.html for details.
