For webgl this is very critical! We have in the project because of this bug approximately 25-30% more memory used.
@Marco-Trivellato 2018.3.10 have just released https://unity3d.com/unity/whats-new/2018.3.10 , but there is no fix of this bug.... Have you some info about when we can see this backport in 2018.3 patch?
