    Hi,
Here's the error message with the actual Youtube url.

    "VideoPlayer cannot play url :

    WindowsVideoMedia error 0xc00d36c4 while reading

    Context: MFCreateSourceReaderFromURL
Error details: The byte stream type of the given URL is unsupported.
    Track types:"

The Unity forum automatically detects and changes the link to a media.

Can you make Unity work with Vuforia for Youtube?

No problem but if Unity can't use Youtube, this is going to be a major loss of content links.

You can stream from other links though with Unity Video Player. It's not really Unity's fault actually because YouTube streams videos differently than other ordinary servers. You can put up a video file on your own website, and it should stream just fine.

    dyuldashev.

Don't get too hung up on defending Unity.

If Unity can be improved, help it get improved.

Don't get stuck with a biased view.

Being able to link Youtube videos to Unity is a huge plus to the Video Player component.
