How long will Unity Technologies leave this bug alone?

Is Unity Technologies making a fool of Japanese developers?

This is a political issue.

The Godot engine doesn't have this bug
I wonder if I should switch to the Godot engine.

It depends, how long ago did you file the bug report on this issue? Can you post a link to it on the Unity Issue Tracker so we can see the current status?

Note that Unity Editor for Linux has not yet officially released. Currently it is still considered a beta. When using beta software, you should expect these kinds of problems.

It seems that the reason why Japanese input with ibus-mozc or ibus-kkc cannot be performed with the Linux version Unity editor is that

libibusplatforminputcontextplugin.so

does not exist in the Linux version Unity editor.
