Bug: Terrain details show up red

    The model that I am using for terrain details shows up correctly in the scene, but when added to the terrain it shows up red. The grass color is not red, the grass tint is not red, and the ambient lighting is not red. Thank you for your help! unity problem.PNG unity problem 2.PNG

    Hello! Could you please submit a bug report with a minimal repro project and post the case ID here? It would be easier to investigate what is causing this issue this way.

    Thank you for your response. I can get working on that repro project. A little more info that might be relevant is that I am using the dead grass mesh and texture from Book of the Dead. I created a new prefab using only the mesh and texture from Book of the Dead. Thank you for your help!

    Our developers have investigated the issue, and it seems that the main reason why the grass was painted red is that its vertex colors in the mesh were being blended with healthy and dry colors. In order to get the desired result, you should paint the vertices in grass' mesh white. Issue Tracker link of this issue:

    Thanks for pointing that out! Something has changed in the hyperlinks and two separate links were created.

    However, the issue has been resolved as "won't fix". In the repro project, the vertex colors in the mesh are being blended with healthy/dry colors. To fix this issue, please paint mesh vertices white.

    Could you please explain in brief, how to paint mesh vertices white?

    I'm asking to reopen issue. Terrain details are red even detail's mesh was created by Unity default tree editor!
    So I cannot "paint vertices white" - because mesh was generated by tree editor.
