    False Alarm.
    Sorry guys.
    As I test more extensively, the feature of particle Rate Over Distance will not trigger if the parent of it updates in FixedUpdate. Will spawn in Update or LateUpdate.
    I don't know if this is the intended behaviour of Unity's Particle System, or this is actually a bug.
    All this happens because I use Kinematic Character Controller that update character in FixedUpdate, but will try to interpolate in LateUpdate, but I force the interpolate off because I do it myself. Next thing I know is the particle no longer spawn over distance, but I don't link the change in KCC with that and thought that was a bug.

    ///Old Post
    Particle System Spawn Rate Over Distance will not spawn along with character movement (it still spawns in 2022.3.7f1)
    It only spawn when I drag it manually in the scene, although both actions should be considered the same?
    Is there any hotfix (like via scripting) that I can make Particle System inherit character movement treated the same as when it is dragged in Scene view? Please help, Unity keeps introduce new bugs breaking old features each new version of 2022.3. Why?

    Please do not update your version. Stick with a version that works throughout the lifetime of your project. This is the way.

    Whelp, I usually am the one gives that advice.
    Normally you should not go to for example 2023 branch, and stick with either 2021 or 2022 to make your game.
    But within the current branch? I would like to get the new patch because it says it fixed a lot of bugs. Who wouldn't want that? Turn out it fix some bugs and introduce new bugs. Damn.
