    Hi Unity community !

In windows, for standalone application, when i import .MOV, i have the error message follow : "WindowsVideoMedia error 0x80004005 while reading...". I'm using Unity 2018.2.1f1 but i have the same problem in Unity 2017.4.1f1 and 2018.2.0. This problem appear after i updated Windows (actually version 17134.167). Before, Unity could import my video.

I noticed that this problem happen when the .mov file is a vertical video or a video take by iPhone on iOS 11. Not problem with horizontal video take by iPhone on iOS 10 (always .mov).

Do you have the same problem ? Do you have a solution ?

    Thanks for your help !

Thank @Joe-Censored for this quick answer.
But after discovered this problem i have installed the last windows version of Quicktime (Version 7.7.9 (1680.95.84)). Quicktime play the problem mov files. And the "Windows media player" can play this files too. So i don't understand why Unity can't import this. Noticed : I use "VideoClip" importer and not MovieTexture.

@DevTeamIW Have you ever found the solution to this? I have the exact same problem and I still can't resolve it

@leinard98 This problem has been fixed in versions 2019 and higher. But I don't remember which one. Now I only have one warning but the video is starting. I am now using version 2019.2.9 and it still works.

I fixed it by using webm file format, however now the video is very laggy. Do you have any experience with Vuforia?

In 2022.2 and we're still having problems with .mov files? Jesus. I just got that import error yesterday.
