Brush size fixed to 500?

Hi, I've installed the latest version of the terrain tools and I realized I can't change brush sizes. It's set to 500 yes or yes. I've tried to change that value manually to no avail. Is there a workaround for this?

 

It's super annoying usability unfortunately. You first have to expand the ui element, i. e. click on the little triangle, there you can change it.

Obviously you can set some bounds with it, I guess for finer granularity. So personally I'd prefer to have a few mini-buttons in the slider area with which one could define the total maximum size directly. There's a lot of space unused.
