Bloom and Particle Effects

I am trying to set up Bloom with my Particle Effects. What is the best way to set them up so that even with the Bloom the Particle Effects are still nicely visible. At the moment the Particle Effects get washed out with the Bloom so you can barely see them. At night though they look wonderful.
