I have no idea what happened, I didn't change really anything other than add a few objects to the scene and configure the LODs of objects (with the LOD generator from github) and rebaked the lighting in the scene. All of a sudden, around this specific spot on the level, if I look at it, there is this blinding light, which has not been there.

I was suspicious of the reflection probe, but the other parts of the level have them too and there are no flashes. Any idea where to even begin with this?

Check the Light Explorer window. I think this is under Windows menu somewhere.

You want to look for either some Light having an extreme light intensity value, or duplicate objects and thus duplicate lights at the same spot. Something tells me this is more likely a realtime (or mixed) light than a baked light.

You can also take parts of your scene (and while you're at it: organize your scene into logical groups, either spatial or by function) and disable individual parts to narrow down the gameobject responsible for adding such intense light.

Lastly, check that exception message in the console. There may be a connection.

So not sure why, but it seems to have been caused by the LODs. For some reason, a few specific objects reflect light in a low LOD mode in a way that causes the camera to be enveloped in light. I just simply configured the LOD levels to there is the full LOD model and the culled model for the problematic props to make sure this doesn't happen.
