Blending Hurt Animations?

    Would it be possible to blend in different hurt animations? Similar to resident evil 4 enemies?
    -Enemy gets hit in the head and plays head hurt animation.
    -During head hurt animation, enemy gets shot in the body. Head hurt animation still plays till it finishes even though body shot animation starts playing.
