    Hey everyone!

Unity used to have this nice feature where it would automatically import .blend files without needing to export .fbx first.

However, a couple of years ago, a Unity update broke the importer. Now, if you put a .blend file in the project, you just get an error instead that says you need Blender 2.5 or later.

Currently, I'm using Blender 2.7 and the import is still broken. Can we get this fixed at some point? Blender is used by a huge number of devs and automatic import for other applications work fine.

That’s weird, I use Blender exclusively for modeling and it never has a problem. I’d recommend uninstalling and reinstalling it.

Edit: I use Mac OS X and windows 10

I can't confirm the problems. Just tested it with Blender 2.79b and Unity 2018.2.8f1. Windows.

Side by side install of several Blender versions? Unusual install location? Also, what OS?
Works for me, both Win and macOS.
