    Hi,

I want to change from maya to blender and today did my first test importing a .blend file into unity.

Using unity 3.2f4 by the way.

I have blender 2.56.0r34076 installed and when I doubleclick on my .blend file, then it opens without any problem in blender.

However, if I copy all my textures (jpgs) and the blend file to my unity assets, then I see that the textures import ok, but the model does not.

In the console I see: Blender could not convert the .blend file to FBX file. You need to use Blender 2.45 or higher for direct Blender import to work.

AFAIK 2.56 is higher then 2.45 and the 3.2 release notes state that it should zork noz with blender 2.55 and above.

Am I doing something wrong? Are extra steps needed to get this working?

Any help/hints would be very appreciated.

    Kind regards,

    Bart

    Thanks,

I also found on the forum the following which seems to work

By copying the scripts folder from the AppData directory to the directory where the binaries are installed (most common in ProgramFiles/Blender Foundation/Blender/2.5x) makes import of blend files possible.
